Before heading to Ibiza for Paradise, Luke Dean stopped by STUDIO Ü in search of one-of-one caps and statement pieces for behind the decks.
If you’ve seen Luke Dean play, you’ve probably seen him in a cap.
It’s become part of his uniform behind the decks, so when he came into STUDIO Ü, we already knew which section he would spend the most time in.
Luke Dean has made his mark with a sound rooted in ’90s Chicago house and old-school UK garage. Get Hard (You In The Lobby) introduced him to a wider audience, while Can’t Decide, created with Max Dean and Locky, was named Best Track at the DJ Mag Best of British Awards 2025.
Ahead of his B2B set with Locky at Jamie Jones’ Paradise at [UNVRS] in Ibiza, Luke slid by our Soho store.
He had already bought a few STUDIO Ü pieces online, but this was his first time visiting us in person. He was relaxed, genuinely nice and very funny. We spent a good while talking, trying things on and going through the caps.
For Luke, it’s important to find statement pieces that nobody else will have, especially when he’s performing. Not clothes chosen simply to be loud, but pieces with their own identity.
He left with a Palace sweatshirt redesigned in our Soho atelier, with denim inserted through the sides to change its shape and structure. He also chose a pair of our signature artisanal denim jeans and, unsurprisingly, several caps.
Every STUDIO Ü Artisanal Cap begins with a deadstock or vintage cap and is individually redesigned by hand. The original colours, teams and references are brought together in different combinations, meaning every piece is one of one.
For someone who has made caps such a recognisable part of how he dresses, it made sense that Luke took his time finding the right ones before heading to Paradise.
